With great bars and restaurants, beautiful residential streets and markets, Schöneberg is a mixture of romance and fun. Berlin's best-known department stores', the Kaufhaus des Westens or KaDeWe for short, is located on Wittenbergplatz, where U-Bahn lines 1 and 2 connect. At Winterfeldtplatz there is a market twice a week (Wednesdays and Saturdays) with fruit and vegetables, flowers, cheese, household goods and clothes.
